Mornington Peninsula Family History Society Inc.
Founded in 1979, MPFHS meets bi-monthly from February each year with talks on all things relating to genealogy and local history.
We now have a library and resource centre in South Frankston Recreation Centre in TowerHill Road, Frankston which our holdings includes books (reference and lending), family history journals, microfiche and microfilm, networked computers containing local and overseas CDroms, and also an internet computer with a subscription to the worldwide version of Ancestry.com. This allows members to easily access a vast and varied amount of information to help in research. One of the most valued aspects of Ancestry.com is the complete 1841 to 1901 UK census records, which allows searching and downloading of the actual census page image featuring your family.
Our library hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10.30 until 2.30, and on Sundays from 2.00 until 5.00. Library phone is 9783 7058. If phoning outside library hours, please leave a message.
